1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

Welcome to TheGreensOfJericho.net. All users who access this site are subject to the Terms of Service as specified on this page. If you do not accept these terms an account will not be created for you and you will not be able to post or review content.. If you accept the terms and do not follow them after your account is created, your account will be terminated. The Terms of Service can be changed at any time at the discretion of the site administrators. Although every attempt will be made to alert users via email or a post to the home page the site administrators are not liable for failure to communicate changes to the Terms of Service. You may view the current Terms of Service by clicking at the bottom of the home page.

2. SERVICE

The Greens of Jericho Archive is a writer-oriented site for character-focused fiction set in the universe of the Jericho TV show. It is not our intention to be a comprehensive archive of Jericho fan fiction, but rather a specialized archive concentrating on stories about the characters of Jericho and their relationships and interactions with one another. Although we are not actively seeking submissions from the general community, we are willing to consider unsolicited fan fiction for archiving. We are striving to provide the best in Jericho, character-focused fan fiction and therefore have established high standards regarding the stories we will accept. These standards include:

Significant character and plot development.
High degree of originality.
Canon character focused stories.
Believable plot and characterization of canon characters.
Minimal spelling/grammar errors.

This is not an open archive, and only those stories that meet these standards and follow the submission rules will be accepted. Stories that do not meet these standards will need to be edited and resubmitted by the author. This being a writer oriented site we ask that all authors review other author’s stories as well as post their own stories. To use this service you must have access to the internet.

3. ACCOUNT REGISTRATION

You agree to the following when you register at this site:

To follow the Submission Rules as posted on TheGreensOfJericho.net.
Uphold the local laws as they apply to your actions when you view, review or post stories to TheGreensOfJericho.net.
To honor requests by the site administrators as they apply to your actions on this site.
Check for updates to both the Submission Rules and Terms of Service by selecting the appropriate links on the home page.

4. YOUR ACCOUNT

Your account will allow you to submit stories and reviews to TheGreensOfJericho.net. All submissions are welcomed but note that all unsolicited submissions must be validated by an administrator before they become visible in the archive, and this process may take up to a week.

By creating an account:

You agree that you will keep your account password confidential.
You acknowledge that you are fully responsible for any action taken under your account or password.
You agree to immediately notify the site administrators via email of any unauthorized use of your account or password by emailing the site.
You agree to exit from your account at the end of each session if your computer will be used by others.
You give TheGreensOfJericho.net the non-exclusive rights to publish your story by registering at this site. These rights will be revoked if you remove your story from the site.

TheGreensOfJericho.net or its site administrators will not be held responsible for failure to comply with this section.

5. POSTER CONDUCT

All content posted to the site are the sole responsibility of the poster. This means that you acknowledge that you, the poster, and not TheGreensOfJericho.net or its site administrators are responsible for all content that you post to this site. TheGreensOfJericho.net does not control the content of the stories posted via this service and does not guarantee the quality of the content posted. You acknowledge that by using this service that TheGreensOfJericho.net you may be exposed to content that you consider indecent, objectionable or offensive according to you own personal standards. You also acknowledge that TheGreensOfJericho.net or its site administrators will not be liable in any way for any content or for any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of any content posted or emailed.

By registering at this site you are agreeing not to use the service to:

Post or email any content that is abusive, threatening, defamatory, harassing or otherwise objectionable.
Post any content that you do not own or otherwise have the legal right to.
Impersonate any person or entity.
Intentionally or unintentionally violate any applicable local, state, national or international law.
Upload, Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers or networks connected to the Service.
Intentionally or unintentionally violate any applicable local, state, national or international law.

Stalk or otherwise harass other users.
Upload Author Fiction without prior permission from the parties appearing in the story.
You acknowledge that TheGreensOfJericho.net may or may not pre-screen content depending on the author’s status and that site administrators of TheGreesOfJericho.net shall have the right (but are not obliged to) in their sole discretion to refuse any Content that is available via the Service. The GreensOfJericho.net administrators shall also have the right to remove any Content that violates the Terms of Service or is otherwise objectionable.

You acknowledge and agree that TheGreensOfJericho.net may preserve Content and may also disclose Content if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such preservation or disclosure is reasonably necessary to:

Comply with legal process.
Enforce the Terms of Service.
Respond to claims that any Content violates the rights of third-parties.
Protect the rights, property, or personal safety of TheGreensOfJericho.net, TheGreensOfJericho.net staff, its users and the public.

You understand that the transmission and technical processing of posting to this site may require:

6. CHANGES TO SERVICE PROVIDED

TheGreensOfJericho.net reserves the right to modify, discontinue temporarily or permanently the Services provided on this site without notice. You agree that TheGreensOfJericho.net shall not be liable for any suspension, discontinuance or changes to the Service.

7. ACCOUNT TERMINATION

You agree that the TheGreensofJericho.net may at their sole discretion and without prior notice terminate your account and remove and discard any Content, for any reason if they believe that you are not in compliance with the spirit of the Terms of Service or the Rules of Submission. Additionally, you agree that TheGreensOfJericho.net shall not be liable to you or any third-party for any termination of your access to the Service.

8. LINKS

The Service may provide links to other World Wide Web sites. Because TheGreensOfJericho.net has no control over such sites and resources, you acknowledge and agree that TheGreensOfJericho.net is not responsible for the availability of such external sites or resources, and does not endorse and is not responsible or liable for any Content, advertising, products, or other materials on or available from such sites or resources. You further acknowledge and agree that TheGreensOfJericho.net shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with use of or reliance on any such Content, goods or services available on or through any such site or resource. You understand that while TheGreensOfJericho.ne t makes an effort to verify links on the site, TheGreensOfJericho.net is not responsible if links to other World Wide Web sites are bad. If links are bad in the Links section of TheGreensOfJericho.net or contain inappropriate content, TheGreensOfJericho.net and its administrators requests that users notify the administrators of this problem by e-mailing them.

9. NOTICE AND PROCEDURES FOR MAKING CLAIMS RELATED TO COPYRIGHT OR INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY INFRINGEMENT

TheGreensOfJericho.net respects the intellectual property of others, and we ask our users to do the same. Please be aware if stories contain copyrighted material the site administrators will make every attempt to remove this material from TheGreensOfJericho.net If you find copyrighted material in any story the administrators respectfully as that you notify them via email so that appropriate action can be taken. If you believe that your work has been copied in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, there are two methods of recourse depending on the nature of the infraction. If you have a copyright abuse complaint based on theft of your piece by other fan authors, please see Section Ten: Domestic Copyrights. Else, please provide TheGreensOfJericho.net with the following information:

An electronic or physical signature of the person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the copyright interest.
A description/URL of where the material that you claim is infringing is located on the site.
Your address, telephone number, and email address.
A statement by you that you have a good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
A statement by you, made under penalty of perjury, that the above information in your Notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the copyright owner's behalf. After this has been received, TheGreensOfJericho.net administrators will seek to determine if the piece in question is in violation of your copyright and then respond accordingly.

10. DOMESTIC COPYRIGHTS

If you have a copyright abuse complaint based on theft of your piece by other fan authors, please provide via email to site administrators the following information:

Pen name and e-mail address.
Contact information for the author you feel is violating your copyright. This information should include the author’s pen name, e-mail address, and author profile URL.
The URL of the piece that you have the copyright for, the date that the story was posted, and the title of the piece.
The URL of the piece that you feel is in violation of your copyright, the date the alleged infringed piece was written and the title the alleged infringe
Supporting and collaborative evidence that demonstrates copyright infringement.
A short message detailing the nature of the copyright infringement. After this has been received, TheGreensOfJericho.net administrators will seek to determine if the piece in question is in violation of your copyright and then respond accordingly.

11. VIOLATIONS

Please report any violations of the Terms of Service to TheGreensOfJericho.net administrators by e-mailing them to admin@thegreensofjericho.net .
